Born on the Mall in Armagh City in 1936, Hampton Ewart was ultimately recognised as one of the most talented local artists Northern Ireland in many years.

However, it was a unique talent to combine words with “pen and ink” sketches that brought Hampton his greatest recognition. His weekly newspaper article, entitled “Ewart's Armagh ” in the Ulster Gazette, combined a local scene with a story of the area, these articles occurred for over 5 years and were loved by readers from near and far.

Hampton produced hundreds of local scenes, historic buildings, street scenes, towns and villages from the Orchard County of Ireland. So if you do not see your favourite, please contact us.
